Mica is an fourteen year old who lives in Plasman. Her birthday is in July and she is so excited to turn 15 years old this year! She hopes one day to become a nurse so that she can help the people of Haiti. She has 4 siblings, one sister and 3 brothers. Her parents did not have any source of income for a long time, but recently they decided to start cooking for the public and selling food at the town square. They are doing pretty well with is, but it is definitely not enough to support a family of six. Mica likes to help her mom around the house, cooking, eating, sleeping, and studying. Her dad tries to help her with her homework but now that she is in the 5th grade, he is able to help her less and less because he did not make it past the 6th grade when he was a boy and that is very common in the village. Mika loves her math classes and French classes. When she grows up, she wants to become an artist.
