Merlie is a spunky fourteen year old 8th grader who lives in Vilage D’espoir, the village near Hope Center in Galette Chambon. She lives there with her parents, four sisters, and three brothers. She has a wide variety of interests and dreams. She loves to study English, biology, and informational Spanish! She likes to play soccer and work in her free time. Also, she wants to become a nurse, a DJ, or a farmer one day! Merlie’s parents don’t have jobs, making it extremely difficult to even pay for school, much less follow her dreams. A sponsorship for this sweet girl could open so many doors and provide endless opportunities.
