Jhivenson is a really smart thirteen year old from the village of Galette Chambon who lives with his mother and sister. They live in a family compound where his grandparents live along with two aunts and a host of cousins. Jhivenson has dreams of becoming a doctor one day because he is fascinated with medicine and how it works for the human body. He is also fascinated by the way his grandmother uses plants around their house to make various teas that work as medicines. He says that if his grandmother had been able to go to school when she was a girl, he’s pretty sure she would have become a doctor herself or a pharmacist because she makes all kinds of medicines just from plants near their house….and they work! He just thinks it is really cool how God put everything we need on earth to make things to help us with illnesses. When Jhivenson has a little free time, he likes to play soccer, hang out with friends, study books, and help his mother and grandmother with things. He sure does hope that he gets a sponsor soon because he really wants to return to school and work his way to medical school.
