Roseline is a very bright 15 year old who lives in Galette Chambon with her parents, five sisters, and three brothers. No one in her family has ever gone to school beyond the third grade. Neither of her parents have jobs, but they do try to raise a few goats for financial emergencies and they often share crop for a local land owner to provide food for their large family. Roseline is the oldest of nine children and she is the only one that has been able to consistently go to school. The only reason she has been able to go to school is because the principal recognized her capability and has allowed her to go without a sponsor. He paid for her books and uniform himself. Her other siblings are able to go to school periodically, but not consistently. Their hope is that Roseline can finish school and go on to school to become a nurse. She feels like if she can get a job as a nurse, she can help support her family.  Roseline loves to study. Her favorite subject is English. She hopes to one day be able to use her love of language, learning, and helping others to help her village by working at Hope Center Clinic.
