Rosenie D.

Rosenie is a bright and timid, 15-year-old who goes to BGM high school and is in the eighth grade she lives in the village called Dèdal in Gallette Chambon with her mother and two brothers. Her mother is a vendor in the local market, but she does not make enough money to support the family. There are many days when Rosenie and her brothers go to bed without having eaten anything besides what they ate at school. They often take a small bowl to school with them in their backpack and when they get their plate of food, they will put a little bit of it in the bowl and save it in their backpack to take home to their mother.This is why it is so important to Rosenie and her mother that she be able to continue going to school. Not only is it important that Rosenie get an education, but when she is in school, she is able to eat and share her food with her mother. She is afraid that if she were not in school, she and her brothers and mother would probably starve. Rosenie enjoys going to classes, doing chores around the house, sleeping, and eating. Her favorite subject in school is physical science. When she grows up, she would like to become a nurse.
