Mykendy is in K2 at BGM’s Maranatha School. He is five years old and lives with his parents, two sisters and brother in the village of Dalgros. It takes him a long time to walk to school every day, but he is thankful to be able to go to school and he enjoys the walk with all of the other kids from his village. Mykendy desperately needs a sponsor. The family is extremely poor even though his father does try to do some work in a local garden as a share cropper. Mykendy doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows up; he just knows he doesn’t want to be a farmer. He is praying that someone will sponsor him soon so that he can continue going to school.
