TCHELA (pronounced Shey-la) is a bright and kindhearted 17-year-old student who attends BGM High School, where she is currently in the 10th grade. She lives in Gallette Chambon with her parents and three sisters. Her family is very close, and Tchela plays an important role at home—she enjoys cooking, cleaning, and helping her mother take care of the household alongside her sisters.
Tchela’s parents work as vendors in the local market, but recently, they faced a great setback. On their way to the market, they were robbed by a gang and lost much of the merchandise they were planning to sell. This has made it difficult for them to recover financially, and as a result, they are struggling to pay for Tchela’s school tuition. Despite these challenges, Tchela remains hopeful and determined to continue her education.
In school, Tchela’s favorite subject is Spanish, and she dreams of becoming a nurse one day so she can help care for others. With support, she can continue her studies and move toward a brighter future for herself and her family.
