ADNIA is a bright and motivated 10-year-old girl who attends the fourth grade at BGM Primary School. She lives in Galette Chambon with her parents, two brothers, and one sister. Her parents work very hard as vendors in the local market, doing their best to provide for their family despite many challenges.
Over the past few years, life has become increasingly difficult for Adnia’s family. The growing gang activity in the area has made traveling to and from the depot dangerous and expensive. Gangs now charge “taxes” on the roads, forcing Adnia’s parents to spend much more money just to transport their goods and restock supplies. These burdens have made it nearly impossible for them to pay for their children’s tuition.
Currently, Adnia’s older sister is supported by a sponsor and her two brothers are not attending school. Adnia dreams of continuing her education and one day becoming a seamstress. She hopes to sew uniforms for local schools so that other children can attend class proudly and comfortably.
Adnia loves mathematics and works hard to study her lessons. When she isn’t in school, she enjoys helping her mother with household chores. She is a cheerful and responsible child who dreams of a brighter future through education.
A sponsorship for Adnia would allow her to stay in school, continue pursuing her dreams, and one day make a difference in her community.
