Nephtalie is a bright and happy eleven year old from the village of Gros Balancé near Galette Chambon. She lives with her parents and five brothers. Her mother doesn’t have a job, and her father is a farmer in the village. Nephtalie has her hands full helping her mother with five boys, but she loves her family very much. She is excited that she and her brother Emerson are going to be sponsored because that helps her parents out a lot. She doesn’t want them to have to worry about how they are going to send their children to school. Nephtalie’s favorite subject in school is French, and when she grows up she wants to become a doctor.
