LOUVENSON is a cheerful and resilient 6-year-old boy currently attending first grade at Maranatha School. He lives in the village of Galette Chambon with his brother, sister, and their grandmother, who has lovingly taken on the responsibility of raising them. Their grandmother is a vendor who prepares food and sells it in the town square, working hard each day to provide for the family. Although her income is very limited, she uses it to pay rent for their small, one-room mud house—now in poor condition—as well as to cover food and basic necessities.

Louvenson and his siblings came into their grandmother’s care after the tragic loss of their parents during a raid on their village in 2023. At the time, their grandmother was away visiting a friend in another village, and the children survived by hiding nearby until the danger had passed. When she returned, she found them frightened and alone, and she has cared for them ever since with great strength and compassion.

Despite these hardships, Louvenson remains a joyful and hopeful young boy. He enjoys playing with his friends and going to church with his grandmother when he is not in school. His favorite subject is Creole, and he is eager to learn. Louvenson dreams of becoming a teacher one day so he can help educate other children in his village and contribute to a brighter future for his community.

Sponsorship would provide critical support for Louvenson’s education and help ease the burden on his grandmother. With this opportunity, he can continue learning, growing, and moving toward the future he dreams of.
