CADENCIA is a determined 17-year-old student currently enrolled in the 10th grade at BGM High School. She lives in the village of Galette Chambon with her parents, four sisters, and one brother. While two of her siblings are already sponsored and able to attend school, the others are still waiting for the opportunity. Because Cadencia has successfully tested into the 10th grade, it is especially important for her to continue her education now, as she is already close to graduating.
Despite being out of school for the past six years, Cadencia has shown remarkable dedication to learning. She has borrowed books from friends and her siblings and has taught herself many of the subjects she would have studied in school. She also participates in a local study group, where she follows along with lessons alongside her peers. Through hard work and perseverance, she was able to perform well on her placement test and re-enter school near her appropriate grade level.
Cadencia is a bright and motivated young woman who enjoys spending time with her friends, attending church, participating in study groups, and singing in the choir. Her favorite subject is social science, and she dreams of becoming a nurse so she can care for others in her community.
