SADONAH is a bright and cheerful SIX-year-old who lives in the Galette-Chambon community with her parents and four year old brother. She attends Maranatha School, where she is in the first grade.
Sadonah’s parents work hard as vendors in the local market, but in recent times their livelihood has become increasingly difficult and dangerous. Gangs have set up tax checkpoints along the roads they must travel to reach both the market and their suppliers, making each trip risky. Because of these dangers, they are no longer able to take their children with them as they once did. Enrolling Sadonah in school has allowed her parents to continue working while knowing she is in a safe and caring environment.
At home, Sadonah loves spending time playing with her brother and neighborhood friends as well as doing homework from school. At school, she especially enjoys mathematics. She is a joyful child with a big heart and big dreams—one day, Sadonah hopes to become a teacher so that she can help children learn the way her teachers do.
Sponsorship would not only support Sadonah’s education but also provide stability and encouragement for her entire family during a challenging time.
