IPHIKA is a bright and determined 12-year-old who lives in the village of Galette-Chambon with her parents, three sisters, and two brothers. She is currently in the seventh grade at BGM High School, where she is known for her strong work ethic and love of learning.
Iphika’s parents work as vendors in the local market, selling canned goods, soft drinks, and other non-perishable items. In recent years, however, their business has struggled due to ongoing gang activity in and around their community. Many people are afraid to visit the market, and financial hardships have made it difficult for families to purchase even basic goods. Additionally, traveling to distributors to restock supplies has become increasingly dangerous.
Despite these challenges, Iphika remains focused and motivated in her education. Some of her siblings have already received sponsorship, and her family is hopeful that Iphika will also have the opportunity to continue her schooling. She is an excellent student—young for her grade level—and especially enjoys studying Spanish.
When she is not in school, Iphika loves spending time playing with her friends and diligently working on her homework. She dreams of becoming a nurse one day, using her education to help others and serve her community.
Sponsorship would provide Iphika with the support she needs to continue her education and pursue her dream of a brighter future.
