Jasner is a precious ten year old boy from the village of Kadas near Galette Chambon. He lives with his mother, four sisters, and two brothers. They lost their father to gang violence a few months ago and it left their mother in a very difficult situation. They have a family garden that they keep up with and try to sell their produce at market. Now that their father is gone, the children all chip in to work the garden and while they are in school, their mother takes the produce to sell at market. The parents had been able to pay registration and the first installment on their tuition, but there is no way their mother will be able to afford to continue tuition payments in the current situation. Jasner desperately needs a sponsor in order to continue with school. He is very smart and a hard worker. He is in the 2nd grade at BGM Primary. His favorite subject is mathematics. When he’s not in school, he likes to work with his family in the garden. When he grows up, he wants to be a doctor.
