Rudenia is a bright young woman who loves school, loves learning, and loves to help others. She lives in the area of Dalgros near Galette Chambon with her mother, four sisters, and two brothers. Her mother works as a teacher in a small local school, but the school where she works is poor, and the teachers there do not get paid much. It certainly isn’t enough to support her family and pay for seven children to go to school. Rudenia and her twin sister Rudebertha try hard to help their mother take care of the home and their younger siblings. They have missed several years of school, so they are behind, but their mother is determined to get her girls back in school so that they can have opportunities that she never had. Rudenia wants to become a nurse one day so that she can work in a clinic and help people who are sick. Her favorite subject in school is Experimental Science.
