Jouvency is a precious little eight year old from the village of Galette Chambon. He lives with his parents, four sisters, and one brother. His parents are vendors in the local market. Because of the terrible economy in recent years, his parents have struggled to support their family. They can no longer afford to pay tuition for Jouvency to go to school, so they are hoping he can find a sponsor. Jouvency enjoys playing with friends, going to church, and doing chores around the house. His favorite subject in school is math, and when he grows up, he wants to become a math teacher.
