Dieuline is a sweet little five year old in K2 at Maranatha. She lives in the village of Galette Chambon with her grandmother, four sisters, and two brothers. Dieuline has never been able to go to school before, but her grandmother needs some relief at home so that she can go to market. She is trying to find a sponsor for Dieuline so that she can go to school while grandmother sells things at market. It has gotten far too dangerous to take Dieuline with her when she goes anymore. Dieuline is able to enter K2 because she does know how to write her name! She is very smart and she enjoys learning new things. She also enjoys going to church, playing with friends, studying lessons, sleeping, and eating. Her favorite subject is mathematics, and when she grows up, she wants to be a teacher!

We do the best we can to give accurate updates, but there are cultural constraints that we cannot avoid. Also, these measurements were made in March of 2022. The child may or may not have promoted to the next grade by the 2022-2023 school year. Final exams had not been taken when the update was made.
