Woodnelson is fourteen years old and his birthday is May 23rd. He lives with his parents, six brothers and five sisters in the village of Galette Chambon. He has been in the BGM sponsorship program since 2015 and he has thrived in school. Last year, he lost his sponsorship because he had to drop out of school. His parents are farmers, and with the recent gang attacks in the village, they were no longer able to farm to provide for their family. They decided to go to another village to try to find work there, but that also meant taking all of their children out of school. It was a very difficult decision, and it was very hard on Woodnelson because he was looking forward to going to BGM High School soon. Now his family has moved back to the village, and they are trying to make ends meet by selling goods at the local market. Woodnelson is very excited about starting back school, but he cannot do so without sponsorship. His favorite subject in school has always been math. He wants to be a farmer like his daddy when he grows up.
