Sarah is a precious nine year old from the village of Galette Chambon. She lives with her mother, sister, and brother. Her mother is a vendor in the local market. She has had a very difficult time supporting her family with the country in such an uproar. She has been robbed twice on her way to market. It is so very difficult just to survive these days. She needs for her children to all go to school so that she can know they will get a good education and eat a hot meal every day. Sarah enjoys playing with her friends, and studying her lessons in school. Her favorite subjects are mathematics and history. When she grows up she wants to become a nurse.
