Marie Ana is a precious little four year old from the village of Bonet near Galette Chambon. She lives with her parents, one sister, and nine brothers. Her parents are vendors who have for years been selling items from a small store attached to their house in the village of Bonet. They have not been able to work in their market in over a year, however, because their market and home were both burned down when the gang attacked their village. They lost everything. They fled to Galette Chambon where they started living with some family friends in the area. They have tried to get their lives back in order to start over, but now that the gang has moved into Galette Chambon as well, it is very difficult. They did escape Bonet with a little money, so they used that go get two of their children into the BGM Schools in Galette Chambon. Marie Ana is one of them. They paid her registration and first tuition installment, but have not been able to pay more. If she doesn’t get a sponsor, she will not be able to register for school in the coming year. They are praying she does find a sponsor so that she can continue school. Marie Ana loves to play with friends, study lessons, and help with whatever work she can help with around the house. She loves to count and learn math, so she thinks that will be her favorite subject as she gets older. When she grows up, she wants to be a teacher.
