Sandia is a 1st grader at BGM’s Maranatha School. She lives with her parents, three sisters, and one brother in the village of Galette Chambon. Her parents try hard to support the family as vendors in the local market, but the economy is not good and they barely make enough to feed their children. They do not make enough to pay for their children to go to school. They are thankful that the school is giving them a chance to try to find a sponsor in the BGM Sponsorship Program. They firmly believe that God is answering many prayers throughout the community through the opportunity for their children to get an education. They are hopeful that Galette Chambon has a very bright future. Sandia’s favorite subject is mathematics and when she grows up, she wants to become a nurse. Her favorite past times are studying her lessons and cleaning the house.
