Roselande is a bright fifteen year old from Galette Chambon who has one older brother. She and her brother live with their mother and father who run a business in the village of Galette Chambon. They sell food goods out of a depot to other small businesses in the village. Her brother helps her parents run the store and Roselande goes to school. Even though her parents do have a business, the economy isn’t so great in their village and they often go days without selling anything. She doesn’t want her father to worry about how he is going to be able to afford to send her to school. Roselande has big dreams of one day becoming a nurse. Her favorite subject in school is Biology and in her free time she loves to study. She knows that she is going to have to study hard if she is going to be able to graduate high school and become a nurse.
