Rosemerline Paul is a timid seven year old and the sister of Kenson Paul. She lives with her mother, two sisters and two brothers in the village of Nan Dale near Galette Chambon. Kenson Paul is her big brother, and she is very close to her big brother. (Her baby brother is Antony, named after Papa Tony because he delivered Antony at Hope Center!) Rosemerline loves to help her mother cook for the family and she always helps her mother clean too. She tries to help her mother as much as she can because she knows it is not easy for her mother to take care of all of her children by herself. Rosemerline walks with her big brother to school every day and she hopes that next year her two younger sisters will be able to go to school too! She is excited about the possibility of ALL of her siblings being able to attend school together one day. She says it’s hard to believe that might be possible one day. Rosemerline does not know what she wants to be when she grows up. She has never really thought about it because she has never known what it feels to be able to dream of being anything but someone who struggles to make it from day to day. Now that she has hope of continuing school, perhaps she will think about that!
